Dr. Norsworthy is a clinical pharmacy specialist in Endocrinology at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon, Georgia. After graduation from pharmacy school at Mercer University she completed a PGY-1 pharmacotherapy residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. In her current position in the Endocrinology Clinic she has focused her practice on the management of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. In addition she serves as preceptor to pharmacy students completing an ambulatory care rotation, as well as to medical residents in the Internal Medicine Clinic. Her current research includes evaluating the impact of a multi-disciplinary team on diabetes outcomes, incorporating the use of blinded continuous glucose monitors on blood glucose evaluation and therapy adjustments. Last year Dr Norsworthy was recognized by her peers as the Clinical Pharmacist of the Year, and was awarded the Department of the Army Civilian Service Achievement Medal.
