VA Pharmacy Benefits Management-Clinical Informatics
Heidi Ress, PharmD, BCPS is a member of the VA Pharmacy Benefits Management Clinical Informatics (PBM-CI) team and the program manager for the National Comprehensive Infusion Library (NCIL). She earned her pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, followed by completion of the Amgen Oncology Fellowship, a postdoctoral research training program at the University of Iowa, and a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN.
Heidi has gained a wide breadth of pharmacy experience in both clinical practice and informatics during her tenures at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics and the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison, WI. She joined PBM-CI in 2022 to lead the NCIL Team, a group of pharmacist and nurse informaticists, to develop, deploy and sustain clinical content for a standardized infusion library that is used with smart infusion devices across multiple vendor platforms.
