Dr. Jennifer Marcelo Kim, PharmD, BCACP, BCADM is a clinical pharmacist who is currently practicing in the family medicine clinic at Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH) in Fort Carson, Colorado. She had earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy (UIC COP) in 2009. After graduation, Dr. Kim completed a PGY1 Community Pharmacy residency program. Since then, Dr. Kim had practiced as an assistant professor in the department of pharmacy practice at the University of Illinois at Chicago-College of Pharmacy as well as at Shenandoah University-Bernard J Dunn School of Pharmacy. She had also assisted with the development of various clinical pharmacy services while practicing as a clinical pharmacist at Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center in Joint Based Andrews, Maryland, and the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado.
Dr. Kim strives to deliver innovative and accessible patient centered care to improve patients’ lives and health outcomes. The health care system is changing, and Dr. Kim believes in developing and implementing new opportunities for pharmacists to improve patient care.
At Evans Army Hospital in Fort Carson, Colorado, she provides medication therapy management services for patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. She is able to demonstrate clinical pharmacist interventions in other patient care areas such as bariatric care, anti-obesity medication management, and cross sex hormone therapy for transgender patients.
She fosters a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment to positively impact patient care. Dr. Kim empowers all her patients to take control of their health and achieve their goals. She would like to develop her skills in a dynamic healthcare environment where she can continue her commitment to providing innovative and accessible patient centered care.
