CDR Christina Andrade first started in the USPHS as a JRCOSTEP (Pharmacy Summer Intern) with Indian Health Service in Gallup, New Mexico in 2008. She then graduated from Oregon State University in 2010, where she was selected for PGY-1 Residency in Pharmacy Practice Gallup, New Mexico. she completed in 2011. She then stayed on staff to be the Lead Clinical Pharmacist in the Emergency Department. She was selected as IHS’s JR Clinical Pharmacist of the Year in 2014, and PHS’s Clinical Pharmacist of the year in 2017. She moved to her second duty station was in San Antonio with the Department of Defense/Defense Health Agency in 2017. And now is working as a Clinical Pharmacist with ICE Health Service Corps near Houston, Texas - serving with the Advanced Practitioner Provider Team where she focuses on chronic diseases, immunizations, HIV, STIs and transgender care in one of IHSC’s busiest facilities.
